The Director, International Field Marketing leads marketing strategy and initiatives for Inspire’s portfolio of brands in the region. The person in this role is responsible for strategic planning through execution, providing consultative support and oversight to franchisees and licensees as the primary relationship lead for all areas of marketing in the region.

This role oversees Field Marketing Managers (FMMs) in the region. In addition, this role may directly lead select emerging brands or franchisee relationships in the region. This is a critical role primarily responsible for driving transactions and achieving the budgeted Comps (Same Store Sales) while influencing licensees to adopt global marketing strategies, roadmaps and innovation into annual marketing calendars and long-range marketing plans in the region. Success in this role requires developing and maintaining strong relationships with franchisees as well as key internal stakeholders (International business teams, marketing, supply chain, operations training, finance). As a leadership member of the field marketing team, this individual will have the opportunity to share best practices globally and elevate the collective skillset of the team for all brands in the Inspire portfolio.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees field marketing team development and activation of annual marketing plans and calendars that align with business objectives, influencing licensee profitability and unit growth
  • Relationship lead for select emerging brands, franchisees and marketing agencies/vendors, including strategic planning and execution of new market entries and brand launches, annual marketing planning, menu and media strategy, and reporting.
  • Ensures effective media strategies across traditional, digital, and emerging channels, including developing and driving strategic loyalty programs and partnering with Digital and Delivery Team to develop meaningful and impactful 3rd Party Delivery programs.
  • Works with field marketing team to track, analyze, and optimize marketing campaign & business performance including leveraging both internal and external data and competitive insights.
  • Drives field marketing team planning for market challenges and growth opportunities for our restaurants, digital and omnichannel business, including identifying market trends and competitive insights to drive performance.
  • Participates on regular planning calls with the VP, International Marketing to review annual marketing plans, sales results, quarterly performance, and upcoming calendar/media plans
  • Maintains brand standards and ensures consistency of brand voice across all marketing channels in region.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Marketing
  • Minimum 7 years marketing experience required
  • Restaurant industry relevant experience required
  • Global brand marketing experience required
  • Proficiency in additional languages in region preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

  • Experience with product development, innovation planning, calendar and creative resources management
  • Strong analytical, organizational and written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to build relationships to lead planning and execution with licensees and vendors
  • Ability to work and lead collaboration across a wide variety of work styles and personalities
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time
  • Ability to communicate at all levels to build relationships and enhance partnerships, both internal and external
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented
  • Self-starter personality who can operate with some supervision
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbally and written)
