Our client, a company in Sharjah Media City, is looking for an IT Support Engineer to maintain computer networks, provide technical support and ensure the whole system runs smoothly. The role holder will also monitor and maintain the company computer systems, install and configure hardware and software, diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems/networking issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve daily IT support tickets (remote, phone, email).
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Administer and support LAN/WAN networks, Windows, and Mac systems.
- Handle Office 365, G-Suite, Zoho products, and related user support (email flow, distribution groups, signatures, etc.).
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory, NTFS permissions, and shared folders.
- Manage and troubleshoot security tools (Sophos XDR, Perception Point), and smart devices (attendance machines, CCTV).
- Oversee virtualization and storage (VMWare, Google Drive, OneDrive), including backups.
- Administer Cisco switches, telephony, and FortiGate firewalls.
- Maintain IT asset records (procurement, tagging, stock control) using Service Desk+ Asset Management.
- Support onboarding and training for new employees on IT systems.
- Create/update IT policies and procedures.
- Participate in internal/external audits and provide documentation.
- Plan and execute IT projects, including scope, timeline, and budget management.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to meet departmental goals.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support roles.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices, ERPs, Genesys Omnichannel, and cybersecurity basics.
- ITIL V3 certification is a plus.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
