Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled IT Helpdesk Technician with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in network cabling, fiber optics, and basic network troubleshooting. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity, handling cable standards and stock, and ensuring the health of network racks and passive network infrastructure. Candidates with a strong foundation in structured cabling and a proactive attitude toward IT support are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform crimping, testing, and installation of LAN/WAN network cables.
  • Install and maintain fiber optics and passive network components.
  • Troubleshoot basic network and Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
  • Assist in LAN cabling project execution and ensure adherence to structured cabling standards.
  • Maintain and organize IT stock inventory related to cabling, network devices, and accessories.
  • Conduct periodic checks on network rack health and update status documentation.
  • Understand and implement cable types, cable brand specifications, and structured cabling systems.
  • Provide support for CCTV systems and data room setups.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Helpdesk or related technical support roles.
  • Strong understanding of network cabling, fiber optics, and cable standards.
  • Proficiency in cable crimping, LAN/WAN cable testing, and passive network component handling.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge for wired and wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with data room preparations and CCTV installations.
  • Effective documentation and stock tracking skills.
  • Network+ Certification (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Prior experience supporting structured cabling projects in office or data center environments.
  • Basic knowledge of switch configurations and rack cable management.
  • Familiarity with network diagram tools or basic documentation platforms.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices or ticketing systems.
