Summary of the Role:
This IT Manager role is designed for a strategic and hands-on leader capable of managing complex IT environments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will drive service excellence, ensure compliance with both local and international standards, and foster a collaborative IT culture that supports business objectives while safeguarding the organization’s technology assets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
IT Service Management (ITSM):
o Implement, oversee, and continuously improve internal IT services following ITIL 4 best practices and ISO 20000-1:2018 standards.
o Ensure that IT services meet or exceed defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contribute to the organization’s strategic objectives.
o Consolidate and standardize IT services to address common business requirements, improving efficiency and consistency across all business units.
Strategic IT Planning & Operations:
o Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with both the company’s business goals and local regulatory requirements in KSA.
o Lead high-level IT projects from planning through to successful delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
o Collaborate with business unit leaders to align IT initiatives with overall business objectives and to support digital transformation efforts.
Vendor and Partner Management:
o Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management to ensure that external services meet quality and regulatory standards.
o Work closely with the procurement department to ensure that all technology solutions support both operational needs and IT security requirements.
Risk Management and Compliance:
o Collaborate with corporate risk management and IT security teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT infrastructure and operations.
o Ensure internal IT services comply with local regulations (e.g., any applicable NCA directives) and industry standards, as well as internal security policies.
o Maintain documentation and reporting mechanisms for internal audits and regulatory compliance reviews.
Operational Leadership and Continuous Improvement:
o Lead the day-to-day management of the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
o Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure IT service performance and drive improvements in IT processes.
o Oversee IT incident management, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning, to ensure minimal disruption during IT emergencies.
Stakeholder Communication:
o Provide regular progress updates, performance reports, and risk assessments to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and effective communication across the organization.
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
o A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
o A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing IT operations, with proven success in an IT leadership role.
o Prior experience working in or managing IT operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
Technical & Process Expertise:
o Deep knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL 4 and quality standards like ISO 20000-1:2018.
o Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure, network management, system administration, and the integration of cybersecurity practices within IT operations.
o Understanding of local regulatory requirements in KSA (including any relevant NCA guidelines) and the ability to translate these into operational processes.
Certifications:
o ITIL 4 Foundation (or higher) certification is highly desirable.
o Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or IT service management are a plus.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
o Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous given the local context.
