What’s the role?

The Senior Specialist – Project Transactions plays a pivotal role in the day to accounting and controlling of projects, as well as the associated accounts payable, capital expenditures, and accounts receivable transactions. This position requires a detail-oriented partner to assist the project controlling team in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Other responsibilities are:

• Timely processing of client and vendor invoices while ensuring compliance with the company policies and procedures
• Participating in conversations with project managers and FP&A team in matters relating to project budgets and expenditures
• Ensuring that all capital projects are properly documented and accounted for in accordance with company policy
• Performing the monthly closing activities
• Collecting accounts receivable balances from customers, and minimize outstanding receivables
• Preparing financial statements under local GAAP and/or IFRS
• Accounting for prepayments, accruals and financing activities
• Continuously improving internal reports and analysis to enable management to understand key events and trends in CAPEX and expenses
• Monitoring and analysing expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
