Qiddiya Investment Company is in search of a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager - Fire and Life Safety to spearhead our fire and life safety initiatives across our innovative and expansive entertainment project. This role will be essential in ensuring the highest standards of safety for all visitors, staff, and operational activities within the Qiddiya environment.
Your role will encompass the development and implementation of fire and life safety protocols, emergency response plans, and compliance with local and international safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive fire and life safety strategies, policies, and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough fire risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure the protection of all facilities and personnel.
- Lead incident investigations related to fire and life safety, providing thorough reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop training programs focused on fire safety awareness for employees and contractors, enhancing the overall culture of safety within the organization.
- Coordinate and conduct regular safety drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.
- Act as the primary liaison with local fire authorities and safety regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practices are adhered to.
- Monitor and evaluate fire and life safety performance metrics, providing regular reporting to the executive team and recommending improvements where necessary.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire and life safety to ensure continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Designing systems for fire protection and life safety, including sprinklers, alarms, smoke control, and evacuation routes, while ensuring adherence to local and international regulations such as NFPA, IBC, and the Saudi Building Code. This role also involves collaborating with architectural, MEP, and structural teams to coordinate the fire life safety system designs.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all local statutory regulations by systematically analyzing and reviewing relevant documentation and practices.
- Conducting thorough site inspections and performing rigorous testing to ascertain adherence to both safety and quality standards.
- Effectively coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure transparent communication and successful project execution.
- Facilitating inspections conducted by authorities and managing the smooth handover process of Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems to ensure all legal and operational criteria are met.
- Providing comprehensive training to operational teams, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain high operational standards and compliance.
