Job Summary:

The Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for identifying, attracting, and enrolling prospective students into academic programs, with a focus on promoting scholarship opportunities. This role involves extensive outreach, relationship-building, and advising to support students in making informed decisions about their educational futures.

1. Recruitment Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement recruitment plans to meet enrollment targets.

Identify and engage with prospective students through school visits, college fairs, community events, and virtual platforms.

Promote scholarship programs and financial aid opportunities to increase accessibility.

2. Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, community leaders, and educational partners.

Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth admissions process.

3. Student Advising

Provide personalized guidance on academic programs, admissions requirements, and scholarship eligibility.

Assist students with application processes, including documentation and deadlines.

Support students in understanding their career options and aligning them with academic pathways.

4. Marketing & Communication

Create and distribute recruitment materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.

Represent the institution on social media and other platforms to engage with prospective students.

Organize and lead campus tours, open houses, and information sessions.

5. Data Management & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of student interactions and recruitment activities.

Analyze recruitment data to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Prepare regular reports on recruitment progress and outcomes.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years in student recruitment, admissions, or educational outreach.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of scholarship programs and higher education systems.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience working with diverse or underrepresented student populations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.
  • Familiarity with digital recruitment tools and platforms.
