Job Summary:
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract prospective students to scholarship programs and educational opportunities. This role involves building relationships with schools, communities, and organizations, providing guidance to students and families, and promoting access to higher education. The Outreach Coordinator also advises students on academic planning, scholarship applications, and career pathways.
1. Outreach & Recruitment
Develop and execute outreach campaigns to promote scholarship opportunities and academic programs.
Visit high schools, community centers, and educational fairs to engage with prospective students and parents.
Organize and lead informational sessions, workshops, and webinars.
Build partnerships with schools, NGOs, and community organizations.
2. Student Advising & Support
Provide one-on-one and group advising to students on scholarship eligibility, application processes, and deadlines.
Assist students in identifying academic and career goals aligned with scholarship opportunities.
Guide students through the college application process, including essay writing and interview preparation.
3. Program Development
Collaborate with internal departments to design outreach materials and campaigns.
Develop culturally relevant and inclusive outreach strategies to reach underrepresented populations.
Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and recommend improvements.
4. Communication & Promotion
Create and distribute promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and social media content.
Maintain a strong online presence through newsletters, email campaigns, and social platforms.
Represent the institution at public events and in media appearances when needed.
5. Data & Reporting
Track outreach activities, student engagement, and application outcomes.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders on outreach performance and impact.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and follow-ups.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
2–4 years in outreach, student advising, or educational program coordination.
