The Urban Codes Unit at Clear Engineering Consultants is seeking talented architects to join its team in supporting and supervising national initiatives focused on developing and operating design studios across various regions of Saudi Arabia.
The Unit serves as the technical reference arm responsible for applying urban design guidelines and regulatory standards that reflect the local Saudi architectural identity.
The selected candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team of local and international experts to contribute to architectural and urban initiatives, review deliverables, and ensure projects are aligned with relevant regulations and approved design frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the implementation and review of approved urban codes and design guidelines.
- Prepare technical documentation and regulatory reports in coordination with the core team.
- Support the development of planning manuals and zoning maps linked to national urban policies.
- Review urban development projects for alignment with local codes.
- Collaborate with studio teams and technical consultants to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and operational improvements in regional studios.
- Assist in preparing technical presentations and proposal materials.

🎓 Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Urban Design.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Previous experience with municipalities or regional development authorities.
- Preference for candidates with experience in government-led projects, urban codes, or design guideline implementation.
💡 Required Skills:
- Proven ability to prepare and review architectural and urban design deliverables.
- Strong understanding of Saudi urban codes and design guidelines.
- Proficiency in technical design tools (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).
- Proficiency in graphic design and office software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Ability to analyze and apply urban policies and design frameworks to various development types (e.g., applying Wadi Hanifa Urban Code in project design).
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a team environment.
