What you’ll be doing
As a Backend Engineer, you will be working on different types of products from websites to enterprise platforms. As part of a cross-functional team focused on delivery, you will be responsible for building the engine that powers the entire product. Here are some examples of how your day will go:

- Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using PHP (Laravel) and MySQL.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications.
- Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Participate in code reviews, write clean and maintainable code, and learn best practices.
- Help integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, CRM systems, and ERPs.
- Write basic unit tests and contribute to maintaining system stability and performance.
- Support the team in bug fixing, QA testing, and production troubleshooting.
- Stay up to date with the latest tools and AI-powered development technologies to streamline workflows and improve code quality.
- 1–2 years of experience in PHP (Laravel) development.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL or any relational database.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, or modern database concepts is a plus.
- Understanding of API development and consumption.
- Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or React/React Native is a bonus.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced product environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication and collaboration within a tech team.
