What’s the role?

The Tax Specialist will be responsible in assisting the Tax team with regional and international tax compliance matters including VAT, corporate tax, mobile employee taxes, and withholding taxes. This role will primarily be responsible for VAT return preparation and managing mobile employee taxes across multiple jurisdictions, providing support in other areas of Tax Compliance. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for the preparation and filing of VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions (i.e., UAE, France, Singapore, UK, Sweden).
  • Assist with income tax planning and tax compliance for mobile employees, coordinating with teams internally and local service providers where required.
  • Provide support in the preparation of corporate tax and WHT tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist with corporate tax provisioning and managing of tax accounts.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other platforms (Microsoft D365) to analyse financial data and prepare accurate tax records & reports. Working closely with the Finance Team to provide and obtain information as and when required.
  • Conduct research on tax regulations, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
  • Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax-related activities, ensuring timely submission of all required tax returns and documents.

Who are we looking for?

  • Strong knowledge of VAT rules (UAE and international).
  • Experience with preparation and filing of VAT returns.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to gather & analyse financial data for the purpose of preparing VAT returns and other tax-related reports.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Well organized, with the ability juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
