Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join our Professional Services (PS) team. In this role, you will design and deliver complex, enterprise-grade cloud solutions while collaborating closely with clients to translate business needs into practical, scalable architectures.

This is both a hands-on and client-facing role, combining strong technical expertise with the ability to lead technical discussions and guide cross-functional teams. Your work will directly influence the success of strategic cloud projects, ensuring clients gain maximum value, resilience, and agility from their cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
• Lead technical workstreams within multi-phased migration or modernization projects.
• Conduct cloud architecture reviews and provide recommendations to enhance performance, security, and resilience.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent automation frameworks.
• Support and guide migrations to cloud platforms, leveraging native tools, third-party solutions, and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, networking, storage, and databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Mentor mid-level engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Document designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to DevOps initiatives, CI/CD pipelines, and automation strategies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and systems engineering, with proven track record in architecture and design.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or equivalent platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of core cloud services including networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, and high availability design.
• Familiarity with database migration strategies (Oracle or other relational databases) to cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
• Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Preferred certifications: OCI Architect Professional, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with automation and scripting tools (Terraform, CLI, Python, Shell, PowerShell).
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
