Marine Capabilities (Marcap) LLC is on the lookout for a proficient Marine Fleet Manager to oversee our diverse fleet operations. The Marine Fleet Manager will be integral in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective management of our marine assets while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the fleet, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize performance and minimize operational costs.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure operational readiness of all vessels.
  • Manage and mentor the fleet personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and training.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure service quality and address any operational concerns.
  • Manage fleet-related budgets, control expenditures, and analyze financial performance.
  • Ensure effective communication between departments to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting fleet operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet status and performance to senior management.

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field

Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine fleet management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role

Strong understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and fleet performance metrics

Proven leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage diverse teams

Experience with DP2 vessels is essential.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Willingness to travel as necessary for fleet oversight and operations

Relevant certifications in maritime safety and management (e.g., ISM, ISPS) are advantageous.
