Senior QA/Test Engineer to lead test strategy and automation for AI, data, and platform projects at VTS in Abu Dhabi. Partner with engineering, data science, and product to assure quality across web services, data pipelines, and GenAI features.
- Strong experience designing automation frameworks for APIs, web apps, and services.
- Exposure to data and ML workflows, CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud environments.
- Comfortable blending manual exploratory testing with risk‑based, automation‑first approaches.

- Define and own test strategy, plans, and quality KPIs for projects.
- Build and maintain automation suites for API, UI, and integration tests.
- Integrate tests in CI/CD with quality gates and reporting.
- Establish test data, mocks, and environments for reliable pipelines.
- Advocate for quality by design, pair with engineers, and mentor associates.
- Ensure security, reliability, and performance considerations are validated.
- Tools may include Playwright/Cypress for UI, Jest/Testing Library for web, and REST testing for API services.
- Experience with Python or Node.js test stacks is valuable.
Automation tooling and APIs
- UI automation: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
- API testing: Postman, Newman, REST Assured, pytest + requests, SuperTest.
- Performance and stress: k6, JMeter, Locust; browser profiling and Lighthouse for web performance.
- Security (basic): OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite Community, dependency scanning in CI.
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps pipelines with quality gates, GitHub Actions integration, Dockerised test runners.
Testing scope to cover
- API testing: contract testing, schema validation, auth flows, idempotency, negative and edge cases.
- Stress and performance: load, soak, spike tests with SLIs/SLOs and regression baselines.
- Basic pen testing: OWASP Top 10 checks, headers and TLS hygiene, role and permission checks, JWT and session handling, common injection vectors.
- Data and ML workflows: dataset validation, pipeline checks, model serving smoke tests, evaluation thresholds wired into gates.
