Transportation Coordinator

Job Purpose / Objective

Transport Coordinator in the smooth operation of the Transport Office, compiling and maintaining documentation and managing information. Ensuring drivers depart on time, processing vital information, issuing journey details and booking staff on and off shift. Performs or assists in the performance of daily safety and service inspections, routine system, diagnosis and basic maintenance and /or repair on Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Hospital vehicles.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Debrief the drivers on both departure and return from each journey.
• Effectively communicate via telephone to customers ensuring incoming calls are answered and dealt with promptly.
• Prepare monthly report of fuel and oil consumption of the HMG vehicles.
• Generate driver journey sheets from in-house computer systems and issue to divers.
• Produce Reports, such as missing volume, debrief status and unconfirmed orders.
• Collate weekly information for Transport auditing purposes.
• Support the administration of daily in house pick operations.
• Directs the activities of dispatcher and drivers.
• Review odometer reading accomplished by the drivers on their daily trip.
• Maintains schedule of HMG vehicle preventive maintenance and record all vehicles replaced.
• Receives complains from riding employees and do the necessary action appropriately, if necessary consult Transport Supervisor.
• Receive Official envelops, documents, equipment and material from other hospital and inform the respective person or department representative.
• Perform driver duties as and when necessary.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
• Perform any applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities.
  
  

Requirements

Education/ Professional Qualification

• Educational : High School Certificate
  
  

Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in the same field.
  
  

Professional Licensing / Certification / Training

• Valid Saudi Driving License
