Mechanical Design Engineer

Rawafid is looking for an innovative and results-driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components that meet the needs of our diverse projects in the construction and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs including specifications, drawings and BOQs of Water pumping stations, Lift stations and Water Storage facilities, and water treatment/purification systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare, read and review piping & instrumentation diagram under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assess the most suitable, economic and easy way to operate and maintain pumping and network systems.
• Prepare reports and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare comment resolutions sheets.
• Preparation priced and un-priced of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for Projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct quality control activities (internal document review, drawing review, etc.).
• Guiding draftsman/modeler to produce the required drawings.
• Preparation of detailed cost estimates under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare, read and review HVAC calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Create and review engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare analytical/schematic mechanical models under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare piping, fittings and equipment specifications and data sheets in accordance with international and local codes under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Managing engineering work and interface with other disciplines as needed.
• Provide Quality Control/Quality Assurance for work projects.
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills; visit clients, jobsites and consultant offices as needed to support project and business development needs.
