A leading Martime company providing Marine & Oil services is seeking an Operations Director to be responsible for running operations & Maintenance Sector.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Align and manage operations in accordance with the company’s expectations for safety, regulatory compliance, reliability and efficiency.
- Developing and assisting in the delivery of cost effective barges maintenance plans.
- Designing preventive maintenance programs.
- Carry out operation and maintenance reviews to the agreed standard (international, country , organization, project).
- Responsible for negotiate maintenance contracts and manage the selected contractors to achieve the program.
- Advise of changes in maintenance techniques that may be beneficial in terms of improved service levels or provide cost reduction.
- Managing expenditure and budgets.
- Handling the training and development needs of new hires and existing staff.
- Manage Service Level Agreements with contractors.
- Responsible for ensuring procurement all parts, supplies and materials required for contractual compliance and operational fulfillment while meeting company and government small business utilization requirements.
- Ensures workplace safety by implementing, maintaining and monitoring the Safety Management System for main vessels and care. Includes regular safety meetings, onboard visits, communications, and other safety protocols.
- Promotes Quality Awareness among project team members, contractors and vendors.
- Keeps current on applicable government healthcare regulations and commercial trends, including monitoring contract requirements to ensure compliance.
- Assist in developing and monitoring implementation of the Asset Integrity Verification Scheme throughout the Define and Execute Phases.
- Responsible for developing work schedules for employee’s while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.
QHSE Responsibilities:
o Support the organization’s policy commitments and other applicable Arrangements related to its QHSE management system.
o Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.
o Take reasonable care not to put other people - fellow employees and members of the public - at risk by what they do or don't do in the course of their work.
o Notify their line manager about any health, safety or environmental concerns they have.
o Suggest improvements and being active in the general improvement of all Systems and methods of work to ensure Company operations are carried out in a personally and environmentally safe, reliable and cost effective way.

EDUCATION:
- BSc. Mechanical, Electrical, or industrial engineering.
- Certified Project Manager.
- MBA Preferred
KNOWLEDGE:
- Excellent knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry codes & standards (API, AWS, etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of the offshore installation methodologies & best practice.
- Excellent knowledge of offshore installation codes & standards (DNV, GL/Noble Denton...etc.)
- very good knowledge of EGPC contracts forms, terms & conditions.
- Excellent Knowledge of barge operations and equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Excellent knowledge of barges self-manning and crew workload analysis.
- EXPERIENCE:
+20 years in Maintenance operations, offshore oil & gas industry.
SKILLS
Technical:
AUTOCAD – MS Office – PMP.
Languages:
Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.
