Job Title: Caregiver

Responsibilities:

Personal Care Assistance:

Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Support clients in maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness.

Mobility Assistance:

Assist clients with mobility challenges, including transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.

Implement safety measures to prevent falls and accidents.

Meal Preparation:

Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary preferences and restrictions.

Assist with feeding if required.

Medication Reminders:

Provide reminders for medication schedules and assist clients with medication administration as per guidelines.

Maintain accurate medication records.

Companionship:

Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.

Engage in meaningful conversations and recreational activities.

Housekeeping:

Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.

Ensure a clean and safe environment for the client.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Report any changes in the client's condition or concerns to the supervisor.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care activities, observations, and any incidents.

Submit reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Caregiver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in providing care to others.
  • Ability to assist with personal care and mobility needs.
  • Basic knowledge of meal preparation and adherence to dietary requirements.
  • Understanding of medication reminders and assistance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients' privacy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
