Quality Operations Coordinator - Onsite (6 month FTC)

We are looking for a Quality Operations Coordinator to cover East Anglia and East of England with occasional travel to Scotland. The Quality Operations Coordinator will be responsible for collecting key metrics of the participant experience by interacting with our participants and staff delivering the programme across sites. The successful candidate will represent Our Future Health, communicate with sites regularly and ensure that sites are set-up and maintained in a way that is compliant with Our Future Health standards. You will help us uphold our standards for the way in which appointments are delivered across all our recruitment partners.

Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people’s health. Researchers will be able to use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. So future generations can live in good health for longer.

What you’ll be doing

This is a field-based role with regular travel to sites. In this role, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assessing sites for site initiation prior to recruitment going live including delivering in-person training.
  • To be knowledgeable about all aspects of the trial protocols and to be able to discuss programme procedures with sites.
  • To use insights from monitoring visits to inform updates to existing programme procedures.
  • To ensure sites adhere to Our Future Health’s GCP requirements, quality standards, confidentiality instructions and relevant regulations such as the Human Tissue Act.
  • Collect information on recruitment experience in store to report to the Programme Operations Manager.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data to enable monthly performance management and query data with sites when required.
  • To confirm receipt, storage and stock control of consumables and equipment at sites.

To succeed you will have some of the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

  • Ability to prioritize conflicting needs; to handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels.
  • Be confident delivering training in person and via teams to large groups.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong change and project management skills, including the ability to manage time well, prioritise effectively and handle multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to visit operational sites across one or more regions.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Experience working within a health research or healthcare setting would be advantageous.
