Overview

Supporting the Data Governance - Data Quality Lead the role supports full ownership for the overall quality of the business (Master) Data and resolving functional streams user queries. Supports responsible for professional quality assurance scripts/programs to ensure that Master Data and transactional data stays fit to run the business activities. Data quality score cards across multiple Market Units and Data Objects, the role owner supports globally defined standard SAP master data maintenance procedures, and routines to ensure that local data stays consistent with the defined Global, Sector Data Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support of Information and Data in support of business objectives & within global/sector SLA’s.
  • Support rigorous end to end governance of information and data assets.
  • Support full compliance to all regulations and requirements governing information and data
  • Stakeholder management (~L3-L11) in an increasingly complex model.
  • Support maintenance of corporate terminology and lexicon of data terminology
  • Support data governance activities throughout the region.
  • Pro-actively improve data quality by measuring (KPI) and validating master data by data cleansing and data status management
  • Operate compliant to audit rules (SOX) and monitor compliance by active reporting process
  • Supports data quality milestones and performance measures and reports progress to Data governance council (DGC).
  • Supports all data-related issues being addressed by the DMO, supports issues as appropriate to the Data governance council (DGC), and ensures that results of data-related decisions are communicated to all data governance and data (including business) resources.
  • Support process optimizations across all business areas and information domains.
  • Support management and staff in their efforts required to integrate Data Governance and Quality into their areas
  • Support maintenance of data quality policies, procedures and standards in line with Global & Europe.
  • Support coordination other members of the DMO to align data governance and data quality processes across all information and business areas.
  • Supports and coordinate data quality projects and ensure the business cases, scope of work, etc. are in place.
  • Work with project staff to plan for infrastructure efficiencies, data linkage and cleansing to ensure implementation of remediation process.
  • Perform auditing as required of data quality measures and controls and report on their effectiveness to the DMO manager and auditors as required.
  • Supports the adequate and timely documentation of data quality measures and controls.
  • Work in a supporting role with DMO Data Experts and Business Data users on all Data Quality issues.
  • Support consolidation of data from the Domain data users regarding data quality initiatives in their domain to drive data quality information into a single data quality report.
  • Supports and ensures that data quality issues are correctly logged, are addressed and that progress of the issues is monitored and reported.
  • Supports and ensures that proactive data profiling/quantification is scheduled and that results are regularly reviewed, monitored and logged as issues where appropriate.
  • Support and share data quality related knowledge with the Business Data Community.
  • Support communication of new and changed data quality requirements and business requirements to individuals who may be impacted.
  • Support development and training of data quality best practices.
  • Works within the decisions made by the Data governance council (DGC).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in enterprise wide data quality programs
  • Worked with Data Quality management systems
  • 2+ years in business analysis, developing standards, processes, specifications and policies
  • Problem Solving & Analysis skills, including technical, political, cultural and implementation. Sound analytical skills to lead an analysis team to monitor performance.
  • Strong communication Skills – cultural diverse
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse (virtual & cross cultural) group, sector, managers, staff, and subject matter experts
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations, quality oriented
  • Knowledge of information and data architectures, strategies, organization and governance preferred.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Data analytics and interpretation.
  • Data quality and data risk management expertise, including understanding of standards, methods, processes, tools, and controls to manage enterprise-wide
  • Good English verbally and written is critical
  • Ability to develop in line with the DMO envisioned expansions
