Role / Team Overview 1

The Role

The Financial Controller will assist and provide support to the Finance Manager in Egypt. This role will work closely with the Finance Manager in Egypt to ensure efficient and effective practices are.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in developing, documenting and updating all finance policies and procedures
  • Driving the billing, collections and accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and that seamless procedures and efficiencies are in place
  • Supporting and developing team members
  • Preparing consolidated profit and loss and balance sheet statements for Finance Manager review
  • Performing financial analysis for discussion with the Finance Manager
  • Monitoring and reviewing balance sheet accounts and making necessary adjustments
  • Analyzing VAT transactions and preparing the group VAT return for review
  • Co-ordinating the regional audit and dealing with audit requirements, being involved in the audit planning process and ensuring timelines are met
  • Monitoring and preparation of cash forecasting reports
  • Assisting with preparing the annual financial budget , ensuring processes are in place for sufficient budgetary monitoring and review.
  • Monitoring actual and forecasted spend against budget for the Finance department.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • Qualified or part qualified chartered accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Excellent understanding of accounting process and procedures
  • Strong competence in Excel, Outlook, Power point and Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at the same time
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and act on own initiative
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong team player
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Positive professional attitude
  • Experience from 5 to 7 years
