Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled Mechanic with a passion for the yachting industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems and equipment on yachts.
As a Mechanic in the yachting industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of yachts and maintaining their mechanical integrity. You will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art yachts, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs and maintenance, and contribute to the overall safety and performance of the vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment on yachts
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on engines, generators, propulsion systems, and other mechanical components
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with other crew members to coordinate maintenance and repairs

- Relevant certification or diploma in marine mechanics or a related field
- Proven experience as a mechanic in the yachting industry
- Strong knowledge of marine systems and equipment, including engines, generators, and propulsion systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertaining to the yachting industry
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license
