As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting operational payroll processes in Egypt & Near East organizations, leading to outstanding HR service delivery and great customer experience.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:


  • Point of contact for HR Services in country to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure effective HR Service Delivery Model is in place to ensure HR meets business requirements, customer experience targets and other KPIs
  • Define or oversee the development and implementation of local, regional and global HR policies and processes in country, driving process standardization, simplification and improvement and ensure appropriate controls are in place and monitored.
  • Play a key role in embed and grow for Workday usage and capability by ensuring HR, line managers and employees make efficient and effective use of the Workday platform.

  • Participate in the deployment of HR initiatives in the country (e.g. organizational change, new CoE programmes, Workday improvements)
  • Updating and maintaining payroll records (Joiners/Leavers/Changes) and payroll master data
  • Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries
  • Process accurate and timely payroll monthly and yearly reporting (reporting with state authorities like Tax Office, statutory Pension, providing), providing input for Finance teams – monthly GL accounting data
  • Process payroll related allowances and deductions, delivering yearly bonus and merit cycle,
  • Importing/exporting payroll interface file & issue resolution,
  • Processing of all variable wage components like hours, bonuses, provision, capture of holidays, etc.
  • Standard evaluations like birthday, jubilee, family allowance, pension fund, employee stock option plans reporting and international assignees’ payroll (expatriates’ shadow payroll)
  • Responsible for all operational aspects in terms of vendor management in outsourced payroll environment including contractual performance management cycle with vendor (tracking KPI’s/issue escalation/monthly SLA meetings)
  • Responsible for Continues Improvement within functional area of payroll process and embedding Employee Centric process changes into daily routine.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll management and processes
  • Strong project management experience/skills
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent level of English
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines timely and accurately
  • Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
