What We’re Looking For

  • A proven track record in a Cashier or Financial Role and a High School Diploma or equivalent Qualification are preferred.
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Exceptional skills in Improving Customer Satisfaction and Driving Profitability, showcasing a commitment to Industry-Leading Standards.
  • Exceptional Time Management and Multi-Tasking skills to oversee busy operations and deliver accurate billings.
  • A Proactive Nature, coupled with a meticulous Eye for Detail, ensuring every aspect of Audit Operations is curated to perfection, and all revenue gets recorded in the POS.
  • Superior Problem-Solving Skills and the competence to Exceed Expectations in dynamic and competitive operational environments.
  • Essential competence in Math to efficiently process Cash, Credit and Card Transactions while providing exceptional Customer Service.
  • Strong familiarity with and understanding of POS (Micros) Systems and Basic Accounting Software is a Plus.
  • A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executes the ‘FIVE-Star’ processing of cash, cheques, and credit card payments from Guests and various hotel Departments.
  • Employs exquisite Counting Techniques, ensuring Verification and Meticulous Recording of all cash transactions.
  • Safeguards cash with a Commitment to Maintaining a Secure and Organised cash-handling environment, reflecting a remarkable approach to Financial Responsibility.
  • Undertakes the Collection and Deposition of Foreign Currency, emphasising a sensational approach to Handling Diverse Forms of Monetary Exchange.
  • Maintains up-to-date Records of daily Cash Transactions.
  • Prepares and submits Daily Cash Reports to the Finance Manager, showcasing Attention to Detail and a Commitment to delivering a Gold Standard of Service.
  • Reconcile cash discrepancies with a stunning level of precision, investigating and addressing any variances that may arise.
  • Ensures a next-level Deposit Process by preparing and depositing daily cash collections in the bank, reflecting a passion for Financial Excellence.
  • Reconciles Deposit Slips with daily cash reports whilst adhering to industry-leading Standards of Accuracy.
  • Manages and replenishes Petty Cash for various departments, maintaining a next-level of Organisation and Transparency.
  • Keeps Detailed Records of petty cash transactions and receipts.
  • Collaborates with other hotel Departments, providing a ‘FIVE-Styled’ Approach to facilitating cash transactions and resolving financial queries.
  • Offers Assistance to Front Office, Food and Beverage, and other Departments in handling cash-related matters.
  • Adheres diligently to all Financial and Accounting Policies and Procedures, showcasing a Commitment to Compliance.
  • Ensures Compliance with Local Regulations and Laws related to cash handling, reflecting an Understanding of Legal and Financial Responsibilities.
  • Provides excellent Customer Service, addressing Guest Enquiries related to payments and invoices with ‘FIVE-Star’ Attitude.
  • Handles Guest Complaints or Concerns regarding financial transactions with professionalism and courtesy, embodying the ‘Vibe at FIVE’ at all times.
  • Assists in internal and external Audits.
  • Investigates and reports any suspicious or irregular Financial Activities.
