The Billing Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely and efficient invoice processing. Responsibilities
- Process and validate invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate with clients regarding payment status and resolve any billing issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts receivables and payables
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper coding and documentation of invoices
- Generate and distribute monthly reports on billing activities
- Assist with month-end closing and reconciliation of accounts
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and address any inquiries related to billing
- Stay updated on industry trends and advise on best practices for billing processes
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve billing processes and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software
- Knowledge of billing and collections processes
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
