As a Production Material Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout the production process.

You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of all materials used for manufacturing our medical devices. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Source, procure, and manage all materials and supplies required for production in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to ensure availability of materials for production
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for better pricing and quality
  • Collaborate with the production team to create and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules
  • Track and analyze material usage, waste, and cost to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving measures
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new suppliers, materials, and processes to improve the production workflow and efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while handling, storing, and distributing materials
  • Train and supervise material handlers and production assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient handling of materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in materials management within a manufacturing setting, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement, and supply chain principles
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent record-keeping skills
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
