SageWater, the nations leading pipe replacement contractor, is seeking a Director of Pre-Construction to become part of our team focused on renovating occupied, multi-family apartment and condominium communities across the country.This position requires a Senior Manager/Director Level Construction professional with specific expertise in pre-construction, sales, and business development. This position will have the primary responsibility of operationalizing pre-construction assessment survey and field work. Additionally, the pre-construction director will be expected to perform sales and business development duties pertaining to assessments, design build and custom solution projects. Lastly, the pre-construction director will be expected to leverage existing contacts in the commercial construction space to introduce Sagewater, and their emerging custom solutions.On boarding

In order to be successful at this role the pre-construction manager will need to be fully versed in the project delivery model executed by Sagewater. This cannot be learned through reading a manual but must be experienced to generate the best results in developing business and speaking to our clients needs. Therefore, the successful candidate hired for the pre-construction manager role will report to, and perform functional project manager duties, on site at one (or possibly many) of our active construction sites for no less than 90 days. During this on-boarding process the pre-construction manager shall be available to perform other requisite duties (i.e. operationalizing an assessment at a different project site) but is expected to perform more traditional project management oversight duties and be part of the operational team.Required skills to be successful in this role include:Proposal Writing and PresentationsMust have superb, professional writing skills. Writing samples may be required. Writing skills will be necessary to 1) support drafting proposals for assessment services & custom solutions that include accurate descriptions of the proposed scope of work, exclusions, assumptions, and conditions, and 2) communicate directly with clients via email, written notices, and other written correspondence.Coordination with sales/marketing team for proposal presentations to clients, including leading client facing sales meetings (both in person and virtually).Field WorkDemonstrated and superior proficiency in reading plans and specifications, including extraction of pertinent data for custom solutions from original construction documents or partial information.Site evaluation inspect project opportunities to determine the required scope of work and evaluate needs while gathering pertinent information to assist VP of Pre-Construction in developing custom solutions for the client.-Field expertise must span traditional plumbing & mechanical systems.Must have superb proficiency in Excel.-Must be able to further standardize the companys platform and make our current processes more efficient.Business DevelopmentDemonstrated and superior proficiency for developing client relationships in all forums.
