Job Title: Operations Clerk

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Clerk to join our esteemed international bank in Dubai. As an Operations Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our banking operations. The ideal candidate will possess at least 6 months of experience in a similar role and demonstrate a strong aptitude for administrative tasks, attention to detail, and adherence to banking regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Transaction Processing: Execute various banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and currency exchange.

2.        Process/verifies telegraphic transfers, both incoming and outgoing thru FTS (Fund Transfer Team) and SWIFT.

 

3.        Investigate and answers remittance related queries from Central Banks and Foreign Correspondent Banks

 

  1. Data Entry: Input and maintain customer information, transaction records, and other relevant data into the banking system with precision and attention to detail.
  2. Documentation: Assist in the preparation, verification, and processing of banking documents such as account opening forms, loan applications, and compliance-related paperwork.
  3. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting customers with their banking needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures at all times to uphold the integrity and security of banking operations.
  5. Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to operational activities, identify discrepancies or trends, and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders.
  6. Support: Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to support overall operational efficiency and contribute to the achievement of team goals.
  7. Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic audits and reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of transactional data and documentation, making corrections as necessary.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar operational role within the banking or financial services industry.
  2. Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional certifications or coursework in banking or finance is a plus.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using banking software and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with specialized banking systems is desirable.
  4. Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language proficiency, especially Arabic, is advantageous.
  6. Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, workflows, and deadlines in a fast-paced banking environment.
  8. Integrity: Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
