Job Title: Operations Clerk
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Clerk to join our esteemed international bank in Dubai. As an Operations Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our banking operations. The ideal candidate will possess at least 6 months of experience in a similar role and demonstrate a strong aptitude for administrative tasks, attention to detail, and adherence to banking regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Execute various banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and currency exchange.
2. Process/verifies telegraphic transfers, both incoming and outgoing thru FTS (Fund Transfer Team) and SWIFT.
3. Investigate and answers remittance related queries from Central Banks and Foreign Correspondent Banks
- Data Entry: Input and maintain customer information, transaction records, and other relevant data into the banking system with precision and attention to detail.
- Documentation: Assist in the preparation, verification, and processing of banking documents such as account opening forms, loan applications, and compliance-related paperwork.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting customers with their banking needs in a professional and courteous manner.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures at all times to uphold the integrity and security of banking operations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to operational activities, identify discrepancies or trends, and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders.
- Support: Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to support overall operational efficiency and contribute to the achievement of team goals.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic audits and reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of transactional data and documentation, making corrections as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar operational role within the banking or financial services industry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional certifications or coursework in banking or finance is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using banking software and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with specialized banking systems is desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language proficiency, especially Arabic, is advantageous.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, workflows, and deadlines in a fast-paced banking environment.
