You will be working as Warehouse Specialist and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to TMC Manager and will be responsible to implement, initiate and perform inventory movements from one location to another, including receiving, storing, and shipping products in a warehouse or distribution center, inspecting incoming shipments to ensure that they meet quality standards before being stored or shipped out.

Your responsibilities

  • Performing daily inventory management duties consisting of cycle counting, RF scanning, maintaining database records and systems(R/A), picking and packing product inventory with optimum accuracy using warehouse management system and RF scanners (A)
  • Verifying all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the inbound to the delivery and ensuring all goods are in excellent condition and fully matching the inbound (R), maintaining accurate records of products that have been stocked and provide management with an accurate representation of all goods shipped and received (R)
  • Monitoring and reporting any missing, damage or lost inventory to management, to enable reconcile inventory (R), conducting quality control at ABB storage facility and stored inventory and process any corrections on errors as adequate, including the rejection of inventory items that does not meet the company’s standards (R/A)
  • Organizing stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly unboxing and storing goods in their designated location according to company standards, including stocking shelves with new products or removing old products for sale or disposal as per policy (R/A)
  • Accurately maintaining company database including all stock and warehouse items (R), reliably retrieve items from within the warehouse to be processed and shipped (R/A), communicating with other departments, such as customer operations and accounting, to ensure all products are received and shipped in a timely manner (R/A)
  • Maintaining a safe work environment by following OSHA guidelines for lifting heavy objects, wearing protective equipment, or using safety equipment such as forklifts (R/A), taking responsibility for the security of the warehouse and stock and ensuring that the stock has stored safely at the designated area as possible (R/A)
  • Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business (R), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse resources (Receiving team and Warehouse operators), and ensuring teams comply with company policies and procedures (R/A)
  • Carrying out accounting requirements for the warehouse activities (R), ensuring that GRN is done within the 3 WD once the delivery documentation identified and available (R/A), performing all warehouse needs purchase requisitions for our warehouses on SAP& dealing with vendors to get best offers if possible (R/A)
  • Following up for all required needs (Direct & Indirect needs) relating to our warehouse activities (R/A)

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor of Science
  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar Position
  • Knowledge of the industry, local governmental requirements, today’s global market conditions
  • Leadership and planning skills, team management and building skills, excellent negotiation skills, problems solving and professional thinking skills, can handle pressure and control conflicts
  • High level of Communication skills that guarantee excellent relations with customers and suppliers, sourcing and contracting skills and should have a sense of urgency and follow up skills
  • Fluency in both English & Arabic language is mandatory
