Overview Role Of a Remote Crisis Counselor Chat/Texting Line

• Working from home maintaining HIPAA compliance and focus requiring private office space
• Managing chat and texting conversations with individuals experiencing emotional distress or mental health issues
• Building rapport and client engagement through written communication.
• Assessing and mitigating risks during chat interactions.
• Documenting conversations appropriately, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Providing available resources or information needed through written communication.
• Identifying safe and positive ways of coping through text-based support.
• Developing safety plans and intervening in emergencies when necessary.
• Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor while multitasking in a fast-paced chat and texting environment.
