Graphic Designer Specialist

Project Overview:

The OSRA program is five-year Pathfinder-led USAID-funded Program. The goal of the OSRA program is to improve family health outcomes by reinforcing the national family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) program in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP). The OSRA program will achieve this purpose through the three pivotal results: 1) Women’s and men’s uptake and continuation of voluntary family planning services increased; 2) Youth equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to make healthy life choices; and 3) Gender dynamics improved for enhanced voluntary family planning and reproductive health outcomes. The OSRA program will closely collaborate with different local stakeholders and other Government of Egypt (GOE) entities to attain its results.

Summary of Role:

A graphic designer is a professional who combines art and technology to communicate ideas visually. Use various design software and tools to create visually appealing and effective designs for a wide range of mediums, including print, digital, and multimedia. to produce creative, high-quality designs for the OSRA program while considering the program’s branding guidelines

Location: Egypt , Cairo

Key Responsibilities:

• Create visually compelling designs for various projects, including logos, brochures, advertisements, websites, social media graphics, and other marketing collaterals. (Info-graphics posts and videos)
• Collaborate with clients or internal teams to understand their requirements, objectives, and target audience.
• Develop design concepts, mock-ups, and prototypes to present to clients or stakeholders for feedback and approval.
• Use design software and tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar applications) to create high-quality designs
• Select appropriate colours, fonts, images, and layouts to visually communicate the desired message effectively.
• Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across different platforms and materials.
• Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in graphic design and incorporate them into work processes
• Collaborate with other team members, including copywriters, marketers, and developers, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach in design projects.
• Prepare final designs for production, including preparing files for print or optimizing designs for web and mobile platforms.
  
  
  

Required Education and Work Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred.
• 3+ years of proven experience in static and dynamic graphic layout and design
• Proven experience as a graphic designer or in a similar role.
  
  
  

Preferred Education and Work Experience:

• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Proficiency in design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, layout, colour theory, and visual communication.
• Knowledge of current design trends and techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Strong experience in designing both promotional and educational materials.
• Working with civil society, the development field, or similar scope of the OSRA Program is an asset
