DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for OFR Operations and Process Manager in Egypt. In this specific position you will be responsible for Ocean Freight Operations management and development in current area, including systems, processes, and training to ensure high performance in terms of productivity, quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and Customer satisfaction under a compliant work environment.

In this OFR Operations and Process Manager position:


  • You will be accountable of all operations End to End Process compliance (from incoming Customer’s booking to file closing).
  • You will drive global and regional programs or initiatives for optimal usage of our systems, apps and processes based on set targets. o Ensure the optimization of the GSC offshoring & management.
  • Process Compliance with TMS CW1.
  • You will ensure on time and accurate Customer visibility of operational milestones based on set targets (e.g. Completeness and timeliness of Super timestamps, Mandatory milestones, etc.)
  • You will ensure optimal operational accounting KPIs based on set targets (e.g. % Sick files, un[1]billed files, etc.). Manage and support all internal and external audit related activities, e.g.: ISO audits, internal focus topic audits, etc., identifies requirements, and participates in discussions and meetings. Manage directly or indirectly country operations teams together with the CT OFR Heads.
  • You will develop, lead and maintain an engaged and knowledgeable team of OFR Process Experts.
  • You will have to ensure that OFR ops community is well informed and trained on latest systems/process updates, thru correct communication channels (e.g., Process Experts, Topic experts, CT Trainers, Etc.).
  • You will lead and motivate teams within OFR to drive employee engagement.
  • You will have to provide coaching and training on operational matters to improve the skills, knowledge, and solutions to the operations team at country level.
  • You will have regular interactions with regional ocean freight counterparts to driver operations performance.
  • You will have to maintain solid relationships with business stakeholders (e.g. OCC, GSC, BPO/IT).
  • You will have to oversee countries operations, ultimately ensuring that we provide a consistently high level of service to our customers, taking corrective actions in case of deviation.
  • You will support sales, business Development and account Management on RFQ, BID and EDI implementation.
  • First point of contact for approval of non-standard operational requirements.
  • You will take sponsorship for selected large Customers and preferred Carriers for operational matters.
  • You will have to develop, implement, and execute operations country/regional strategy to support our global freight strategy.
  • You will have to implement and develop new solutions for OFR (e.g. new Customer’s implementations).
  • You will have to undertake and supports projects & programs on an ad-hoc basis, e.g. country specific improvements, etc. People Management
  • You will develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
  • You will have to plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.
  • You will have to develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
  • You will manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department

  • Must have a matric
  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics or equivalent
  • 5-10 years relevant industry experience
  • Excellent communicator in English, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of Pack Microsoft applications
