As Abgad’s Compliance Manager , the key purpose of this role is to ensure the business operates in an ethical and compliant framework protecting interests of customers, shareholders and regulatory bodies. This is an individual contributor role where your prior experience within NBFIs, direct contact with the Financial Regulatory Authority and understanding of key governing laws is key to your success with the team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the company and all its employees adhere to the laws regulating its work, as well as the company’s internal policies and regulations
  • Being the primary contact point with the FRA and representing the Company, respond to all regulatory inquiries/investigations/discussions as they arise
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducting regular checks to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies through the monitoring and assessment of compliance in order to proactively address/highlight any non-compliance matter
  • Preparing periodical compliance reports and submitting them to the Board of Directors
  • Preparing anti-money laundering and terrorist financing reports and submitting them to the regulatory authorities within the legal deadline.
  • Providing the Compliance opinion to all Lines of business with regards to all compliance requirements to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Training Abgad staff on AML & CFT as well as new policies and procedures


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 6-8 years of experience in Compliance departments within NBFIs (Non-banking financial institutions). Consumer Finance background is a great plus
  • Good knowledge of the financial services industry, regulatory compliance and AML background.
  • CAMS, or any other professional Certifications related AML / Compliance ( is Preferable)
  • Experience in reporting, finding communication and presentation to FRA and regulatory bodies is a must
