Job Description

Mandate Skills

  • Commerce background (Graduate) with specialization in Accountancy. ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience of up to 5 years working in Finance department of a Bank and at least 2 years in Regulatory Reporting.
  • Knowledge of Accounting and Reporting aspects including International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of Central Bank guidelines on BRFs

Organization Unit Purpose

The Deliverables of the department are:

Regulatory Reporting to Central Bank of UAE at pre-defined frequency ((Daily / Weekly / Monthly/ Adhocs))

Capital Adequacy Ratio as per Basel Framework, Pillar III Disclosures

Regulatory management Reports

Liaise with Internal and External Auditors

Liaise with Central Bank Auditors (including, preparing, engaging and reviewing CB examination forms)

Job Purpose

The Jobholder is required to prepare in all Regulatory Reporting activities. The activities will include coordination with all stakeholders for data required to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Central Bank Returns. Based on the data, preparation / initial self-review of CBUAE returns. In addition, provide assistance in day-to-day activities of Regulatory Reporting team.

Detailed description:

  • Ensure timely preparation & submission of Central Bank weekly, fortnightly, monthly & quarterly returns.
  • Preparation of the Basel as per Standardized Approach Ratio & Pillar III disclosure
  • Performing validation and ensuring overall accuracy of returns at time of regulatory form submission & uploads.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory & regulatory requirements.
  • Timely preparation of other reporting requests /ad-hoc requests by Central Bank Auditor
  • Preparing & providing clarifications on CB requirements to Regulatory Reporting teams in subsidiaries
  • Performing validation and analysis of data received from group subsidiaries.
  • Supporting Regulatory team in conducting Impact Analysis of the new CB circulars issued

Job Content

  • Preparation of the Basel Ratio within the agreed timelines for market disclosures and submission to
  • Central Bank in the specified formats
  • Preparation of the working files for Basel Standardized approach.
  • Preparation of the Annual Pillar III Disclosures for the Group by collating information from various departments/ subsidiaries and branches
  • Preparation of Annual Central Bank Examination by arranging data in the CB desired formats by collating and coordination of information from various departments. Provide the standard monthly details in the agreed upon format within the desired timelines.
  • Preparation BRF reporting Guidelines issued by Central Bank.
  • Co-ordinate with various stakeholders to ensure availability of the data in the systems.
  • Collating information from various departments as per the specific requests of Central Bank and other regulators in the specified formats
  • Preparing and analyzing the weekly, fortnightly, and monthly returns and ensure submission in the specified timelines.
  • Provide data to the Internal stakeholders as per timelines like EMTN updates, data for Investor relations etc.
  • Assist Regulatory team in other related projects as applicable (Data enrichment / reporting automation/ regulatory questionnaire)

Person Specifications

Education

Commerce background (Graduate) with specialization in Accountancy. ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification.

Experiences

Prior experience of up to 5 years working in Finance department of a Bank and at least 2 years in Regulatory Reporting

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of Accounting and Reporting aspects including

International Financial Reporting Standards

Knowledge and understanding of Central Bank guidelines on BRFs.

Strong Interpersonal skills
