Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and contractual elements of construction projects. You will be involved in planning and monitoring project costs, budgeting, preparing tender documents, and advising on cost-effective solutions. Your expertise in cost management and quantity surveying will be pivotal in ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Conduct feasibility studies to analyze costs, materials, and labor requirements
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to determine project specifications and requirements
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines
• Monitor project progress and costs, identifying any variances and taking corrective action
• Conduct value engineering to provide cost-effective alternatives and improve project efficiency
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to contracts, variations, and final accounts
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficient in using industry-standard software such as Cost, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with relevant construction laws, regulations, and safety standards
