As a Retail Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of retail outlets. You will lead a team to ensure exceptional customer service, maximize sales, and maintain high standards of visual merchandising. Your role will involve strategic planning, staff management, inventory control, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves:

  • Leadership and Team Management:*
  • Provide effective leadership to retail staff, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork, productivity, and excellence in customer service.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Sales and Customer Service:
  • Drive sales performance by setting targets, monitoring sales metrics, and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times, resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
  • Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement to enhance the shopping experience and increase customer loyalty.
  • Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation:
  • Oversee the visual merchandising of products, ensuring that displays are visually appealing, well-maintained, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Implement seasonal and promotional displays to highlight key products and drive sales.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation to create an inviting shopping environment.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and markdowns.
  • Conduct regular stock assessments, monitor inventory turnover rates, and coordinate with the purchasing team to replenish stock as needed.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage and ensure accurate stock records.
  • Operational Efficiency and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Monitor store expenses and budget allocation, identifying opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, logistics, and finance to coordinate activities and achieve overall business objectives

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, including sales techniques, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to drive growth.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and retail management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
