One of the leading companies in the maritime industry is seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team in Alexandria

Oversee all financial operations and activities within the company
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with maritime accounting regulations
Manage and monitor financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and other departments
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, statements, and disclosures
Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing training and mentorship as needed
Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective financial controls
Participate in the development and execution of financial strategies and initiatives to support business growth

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred
Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
Maritime or Heavy Industrial Experience is a MUST
Deep knowledge and understanding of maritime accounting practices, regulations, and industry trends
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership and management abilities
High level of integrity and ethical standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
