Role Purpose

To Develop integrated processes responsible for procurement of raw & packaging materials for production, consumables for different departments, Custom clearance, supporting the Regulatory department for required documents for registration in local as well as international market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, execute, control, and supervise, agile and responsive procurement function with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure and measuring performance regionally.
  • Execute and manage continuous improvement in areas of Purchases and following relevant country regulations and SFDA guidelines.
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of procurement to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
  • Manage the procurement of Raw & Packaging material required for production and different departments, ensuring availability of material as per right quality, price and agreed timeline for Jamjoom pharmaceuticals/ In-Life and Toll-In and Toll-out customers.
  • Manages custom clearance activities for imported items, availability of regulatory documents for registration of products.
  • Actively explore alternative sources for key materials ensuring continuity of business and give leverage for reduce spending on material purchases.
  • Create and maintain an environment towards commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to synchronize team’s energy in a tight-knit and competent group of people in order to attain higher level of team performance.
  • Ensure a culture of family orientated work environment founded on trust, honesty, transparency, with open communication and fair dealing with the maintenance of Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals high standard of work and work ethic.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of purchasing department.
  • Plan, manage and review individual performance of purchasing staff and provide regular feedback and coaching, with the aim to capitalize on individual strength and taking prompt action in the areas of improvements.
  • Create a culture of process improvement where team members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the same field.
  • Certification in Procurement.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Analytical skill with focus on total cost of acquisition.
  • Customer focus.
  • Risk management.
  • Planning and problem solving.
  • Supplier relationship management.
  • Knowledge of local and international regulations of imports.
  • SAP system experience is a plus.
