Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant, you will provide essential support to the finance department, assisting in the management of financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities within the organization.


Responsibilities

Here are the main things they will do:


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Compile data and prepare various financial reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting and analyzing financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, comparing actual performance against budgeted figures.


Qualifications

Here are the qualifications and skills required:


  • Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a comparable industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate working with commercially focused and a keen eye for detail with strong analytical & numerical skills
  • High-level competence in Microsoft Excel and other office packages.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
