CHANEL’s Fragrance & Beauty division upholds Mademoiselle Chanel’s pledge to reveal the beauty of each woman in her most unique form through her fragrance, makeup and skincare products. The Local Fragrance & Beauty Export & Travel Retail Area Management team reinforce the Brand equity, enhance the Brand image and develop area sales through a network of distributors and travel retail operators. Operating across two channels, The Local F&B Export & Travel Retail Area Management team stay flexible and agile across both modes of distribution: Travel Retail encompasses all CHANEL retail that is only accessible to clients holding a travel ticket, while in Local Markets without a subsidiary in place, CHANEL partners with a distributor whose role is to be an intermediary and to relay the strategy of CHANEL to the local market and be responsible for operational implementation. The Local F&B Export & Travel Retail Area Management team develop the strategy across these distribution channels and oversee its execution, building strong partnerships with the distributors and travel retailers to ensure that the spirit of CHANEL’s fragrance, beauty and skincare collections is relayed to the brand’s clients via a client journey that delights and inspires, conveying and upholding Mlle Chanel’s bold vision of beauty.

As part of the Travel Retail and Export Markets Europe team, you will be responsible for developing the brand's Travel Retail Middle East accounts. In charge of the strategic, operational and financial management of the accounts, you will embody the image and the values of the company while ensuring the respect of the brand image, the growth and the continued success of our activities, in line with the objectives defined by the zone management. Based in the CHANEL subsidiary in Dubai, you will manage a team of 7 people dedicated to the activities of your zone and report to the Zone Director based in Paris.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:


  • Responsibility for P&L: Drawing up and managing budgets for the area, by customer and by agent (CA, cost structure, operating profit, forecasts).
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of the zone's development strategy
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with operators (margins, locations, space, staff, events) and ensure that they are properly applied
  • Manage and develop the distribution network
  • In conjunction with marketing, define trade and media marketing plans tailored to the operator and in line with the brand's strategy
  • Supervising, motivating and coordinating the activities of the Account Managers and Travel Retail Sales Managers.
  • Develop a knowledge of the various areas of expertise and orchestrate all the business lines to ensure that the defined strategy is applied.
  • Drive and actively participate in activities within the export community (seminars, training, conventions, trips).


With a higher education background, you will have at least five 10 years of solid experience and at least 5 years in a similar role in an export or sales department. Entrepreneurial and innovative by nature, you have excellent interpersonal skills and are recognised for your negotiating and results-oriented qualities. Your ability to mobilise and manage a team and your capacity to analyse and summarise will be important assets for success in this position.

Fluency in English and, ideally, French is essential for this position; a third language would be appreciated.

Frequent travel required.
