About Our Client

We are recruiting for a Dubai based family office who are looking to add a Non-Executive Director (NED) to their board with expertise in turnarounds. Renowned as a multi-industry conglomerate spanning sectors including engineering, trading, food and manufacturing, our client has an extensive and diverse portfolio offering unique challenges. What the job involves

• You will enhance the board with your extensive Private Equity knowledge, focusing on turnaround expertise as a value add
• As a NED you will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic decisions towards value enhancement at the board level
• Your operational expertise, efficiency and focus on portfolio enhancement will be paramount
• The role involves four board meetings annually, with each meeting lasting approximately half a day. There may also be some infrequent hours allocated for specific elements requiring further board involvement
• Key stakeholder interactions will include the Group CEO, Group CFO, business heads, and operational teams
  
  

Who we are looking for

• We are seeking a seasoned professional with strong and extensive private equity experience
• Expertise in operational turnarounds and restructuring is crucial, with a deep understanding of the full asset lifecycle and improvement strategies
• The ideal candidate will have a direct communication style, robust past experience and technical credibility, capable of providing clear guidance to the organisation
• Gulf experience would be advantageous, particularly in the UAE
