Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Research fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to identify opportunities for new design concepts and product innovations.
Develop design concepts, sketches, mood boards, and storyboards to communicate creative ideas, themes, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes for each collection or product line.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandisers, marketers, and production managers, to ensure alignment of design concepts with brand strategy, target audience, and business objectives.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and tech packs for garment construction, providing clear instructions and measurements for patternmakers, sample makers, and manufacturers.
Source and select fabrics, trims, embellishments, and materials for prototypes and samples, coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to procure quality materials within budget and timeline constraints.
Oversee the sample development process, conducting fittings, adjustments, and revisions to ensure accurate garment fit, drape, and proportion according to design specifications.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or related field; additional education or certification in fashion design may be preferred.
Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or in a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing original designs and completed collections demonstrating creativity, innovation, and technical proficiency.
Proficiency in design software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW, with the ability to create digital sketches, technical drawings, and fashion illustrations.
