What's the Role?

We're looking for someone who wants to kickstart their career with an exciting internship in After Market Services (AMS). Our Tool Service Centre (TSC) is one of the main actors responsible to the first reason our customers choose Hilti: Service. We need you, so we can be even better at delighting Customers. We want you to apply your curiosity and hunger for problem-solving, to question the way things are done, share your ideas on how to make us better, and continuously improve our ways of working. Working as part of our After Market Services team, this placement is guaranteed for 6 months, with the potential of turning into a full-time role.

What does the role involve?

A Tool Service Centre is, is a great way to experience an organization that has broad responsibility:

  • operates similar to a manufacturing organization, 2) heavily drives differentiation and services for our customers and 3) has a multitude of Customer contacts every single day.

You will work with the TSC Manager, teams, and other colleagues across Hilti to set up processes, methods and tools (PMT) to improve the TSC management and operations.

As intern in our Tool Service Centre you’ll be part of

  • TSC Management processes, methods, and tools
  • Improve our operations of tool repairs, quotations, and complaints

Your key responsibilities will be to understand:

  • lead and/or support several Process, Methods, and Tools, and operational projects
  • support repair operations for material replenishment, inbound and outbound etc.
  • support repair operations for tool repairs when required

Hilti increased the number of refurbished spare parts in repair from 10,000 to 100,000 in 2 years

What you need is:

  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree preferably within Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or Business.
  • A valid Emirates residency, under family or school sponsorship
  • Great fluency in Excel. Knowledge of ERP Systems is advantageous (e.g. SAP)
  • “Transformational” mindset: you want to transform the “status quo” in our organization. This requires drive, assertiveness, but also active listening and collaborative skills. Curiosity and openness for change and improvement: you see yourself as a problem solver with a love for detail
  • You apply the principle of first “do the right thing” and then “do things right”
  • Effective communication skills, with a strong proficiency in English - written and verbal.
