Dispatcher

We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to serve as the critical link between our company's drivers and operations. This role involves creating efficient delivery routes, tracking drivers' progress, managing inventory, and addressing any issues that arise during the delivery process. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, mechanical knowledge of commercial trucks, and the ability to lead and strategize effectively. A positive attitude and outstanding work ethics are essential.

• Develop efficient routes for trucks across all territories using our software to maximize same-day delivery capabilities.
• Monitor drivers throughout the day to ensure adherence to schedules.
• Review uploaded photos to verify correct bin size and placement.
• Respond to inquiries from dumpster consultants regarding new and current orders.
• Continuously review and optimize routes for faster delivery options, assigning same-day orders to the appropriate driver.
• Maintain and update yard inventory accurately.
• Close out work orders and manage tipping fees upon completion.
• Communicate with customers to resolve any issues.
• Keep maintenance logs current.
• Plan and schedule downtime for truck services based on upcoming needs.
• Inspect drivers' end-of-day photos for any new truck damage or defects.
• Conduct and review weekly truck inspections, reporting any issues to the General Manager.
• Ensure every order is accommodated; consult the General Manager before declining any order.
• Distribute start times and truck assignments daily by 5 PM.
• Set the schedule for the next day’s workload.
