Job Purpose

Job Responsibilities

Performance Management


  • Provide monthly variance analysis reporting.
  • Work closely with the Accounting team, understand actuals, and ensure correct use of cost codes.
  • Work with Technical team to provide variance analysis for actuals versus Budget.


Planning and Budgeting


  • Responsible for the delivery of timely accurate budgets and revisions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Assurance for quality of data: Ensure that assumptions/cost estimates match the activity set.
  • Work with Technical team to understand basis of forecasting and ensure its documentation.
  • Review monthly Board meeting Financial approvals and provide recommendations
  • Lead inputs preparation for Reserves related submissions.


Economic Evaluations and Investment Governance


  • Provide Commercial support to the company team.
  • Work on Economic modeling, running economics and interpreting results.
  • Ensure compliance with company assumptions and instructions.
  • Present the results of any economic modeling in a clear and concise way.
  • Ensure that only commercially competitive projects/activities are progressed.
  • Prepare Investment Memorandums.


Coaching and Guidance


  • Support Company secondees to ensure their compliance with company policies and investment governance guidelines.
  • Hold Knowledge sharing sessions for the technical teams.
  • Support junior team members and help in knowledge transfer.


Education

Minimum 10 years oil and gas industry Finance and Economics experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Commerce
