Senior Procurement Specialist

Manage and improve relationship/performance with AZ Egypt operations' suppliers and Dual sourcing activities:

  • Ensure suppliers compliance framework adherence and alignment with 3PRM program, ABAC & Third party expectation policies.
  • Manage / Improve OTIF KPIs.
  • Development of reliable and alternative sources of supply.

Risk Management:

  • Analyse and resolve issues raised in Procurement audit reports Manage risks, internal and external, and protect AZ’s intellectual property using available AZ templates, processes, sourcing and due diligence tools (FCF, 3PRM, Etc.)
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence process & financial evaluation of suppliers as part of the supplier selection process.

Purchase-to-pay activities Handling:

  • Maintain uninterrupted flow of materials to support the development schedules.
  • Correspondence and dealing with suppliers as well as follow up PO’s delivery dates & managing any stock rejections.
  • Verification and follow up of suppliers’ bills to see that payments are made promptly.
  • Ensuring that our ethical standards are integrated into all our procurement activities specially in registering any supplier to be complied with our standards

Contract negotiations:

  • Negotiating, formulating and reviewing the legal conditions of contracts.
  • Managing and monitoring all company’s contract’s and SLA’s

Logistics management and improvement:

  • Responsible for importation & Production plan annual submission and close follow up till issuance from Governmental authorities.
  • Responsible for managing 3rd party suppliers and finance related services in order to clear goods from customs (Import/Export).
  • Resolve all related issues regarding customs clearance process which requires involvement with Governmental authority (Bank, Egyptian Drug Authority, Customs).

Ensure Quality of Purchased Materials:

  • Ensure quality standards are met in the supplied goods through administration of vendor complaints and resolutions provided by the purchasing department and Quality KPIs improvement.
  • Coordination with suppliers to ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken properly for defected items

Cost Management:

  • Procure materials economically at the lowest cost using the approved price comparison sheet.
  • Effective Contribution in achieving the monthly phased budgets

Formulate and Maintain Procurement Manuals:

  • Formulate and maintain policies and procedures for procurement cycle through providing clear documentation that such procedures are validated.

Education, Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a similar field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field (preferred pharmaceutical field).
  • Fluent in English and Arabic Languages
  • Strong in MS Office / SAP.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Work well under pressure and in a team and work independently.
  • Strong in writing, documentation, coordination, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain an organized project tracking system.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Great knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, public officials, and members of the general public.
  • Diploma/Master's degree in the supply chain and/or procurement is a plus.
