Mechanical Engineer

Purpose:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining mechanical systems, with a primary focus on HVAC and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and review designs for mechanical systems, focusing on VRF and HVAC systems, to ensure they meet both performance and efficiency requirements for each project.
• Perform system calculations and simulations to optimize design solutions and guarantee functionality before implementation.
• Select appropriate materials and components for projects, ensuring alignment with performance, cost-effectiveness, and long-term durability.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of VRF and HVAC systems, ensuring correct implementation and system performance from the start.
• Conduct necessary tests and adjustments during installation to verify proper setup, functionality, and compliance with specifications.
• Resolve installation-related issues promptly to maintain project timelines and avoid delays.
• Provide ongoing technical support for installed systems, ensuring they continue to meet performance expectations and resolve any issues swiftly.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the system's lifecycle.
• Address system inefficiencies by recommending and applying solutions to optimize performance and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations in all designs and installations to meet legal and safety requirements.
• Stay updated on new technologies and regulatory changes in HVAC and VRF systems to integrate innovative solutions and ensure compliance with the latest standards.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of installed systems.
• Perform periodic inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and recommend improvements for ongoing system optimization.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise for any mechanical system failures or inefficiencies, ensuring swift resolution and minimizing operational disruptions.
• Maintain detailed records of designs, testing, installations, and maintenance to ensure traceability and compliance with company standards.
• Prepare and present technical reports, including cost estimates and project proposals, to inform stakeholders and ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
• Ensure accurate documentation for all systems installed and serviced, supporting accountability and operational transparency.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of work quality, safety, and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Experience in mechanical engineering, with specific knowledge in HVAC and VRF systems.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC load calculations and energy modeling.
• Familiarity with VRF technology, its design principles, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, such as ASHRAE and other relevant codes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
