ROLE
The Site Engineer plays a critical role in the CMM project, ensuring the effective execution of site-related activities. This position involves overseeing on-site operations (mainly surveying and monitoring), coordinating with project teams, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and maintaining safety standards. The Site Engineer will work closely with the Deputy Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation of project tasks while addressing site challenges and ensuring quality control.
Requirements:
- Site Coordination and Supervision:
- Oversee daily site activities and ensure compliance with project plans and schedules.
- Perform or coordinate monitoring and surveying tasks on site.
- Coordinate that the CAD and GIS information is UpToDate with the actual site.
- Ensure that the required information form Site will be obtained and communicated to the DPM and PC.
- Project Monitoring and Documentation:
- Track project milestones and report progress to the Deputy Project Manager.
- Maintain comprehensive site records, including daily logs and progress reports.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation and technical reports.
- Identify and document any deviations from project plans and propose corrective measures.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and verify that survey and monitoring work meets regulatory and project requirements.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions for non-compliance issues.
- Safety and Risk Management:
- Enforce site safety regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of protective equipment.
- Report any accidents, safety violations, or site-related concerns to management.
- Communication and Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise between survey and monitoring teams, project management, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.
- Address any on-site technical queries and coordinate solutions.
- Assist in the implementation of technical decisions taken by project leadership.
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in site supervision, project coordination, and quality control.
- Familiarity with technical specifications, urban plans, engineering drawings, and survey methodologies.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to analyze technical details and implement practical solutions.
- Proficiency in project management software, CAD, and other engineering tools.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and risk management.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or urban development projects.
- Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and standards in Central Makkah
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure.
