We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven Auction Controller, who will be responsible for managing the seller leads falling under auction criteria and converting them for the auctions department, i.e., purchasing. This includes pricing the cars, coordinating with purchasing and auction sales teams and closing on best possible auction offers to maximise revenue for auctions vertical. You will have business targets which include volume and revenue of cars sold.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for managing auction criteria, inspected leads, identifying fair expectations and scheduling auctions.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Maximise revenue by engaging more dealer activity from auctions sales team
  • Collaborate closely with the internal stakeholders especially to ensure that customer’s expectations are met.
  • Handle stakeholder coordination with purchasers, logistics, finance, and transfer teams
  • Prepare and maintain revenue kPI reporting on a daily and monthly basis
  • Create a positive sales culture that promotes healthy competition within the team.
  • Set individual (and when required team targets) in line with company revenue aspirations and be relentless in meeting the objectives.
  • Interact regularly with the existing and prospective customers to establish profitable relationships and determine their present and future requirements.
  • Ensure that dubizzle is in possession of up-to-date information (market intelligence) on the market trends to make informed decisions and have effective implementation of business targets. 
  • Execute cold-calling and tele-prospecting activities in order to maximise selling opportunities

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of sales experience
  • Experience in classifieds or motors industry desirable
  • Experience within the classifieds industry and/or UAE Motors trade
  • Proven track record of achieving success whilst working in a targeted and high pressure environment.
  • Working understanding of sales processes including questioning techniques, objection handling and closing method
  • Used cars pricing knowledge is a must
  • Working knowledge of dubizzle.com
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Natural desire to succeed
