The Payroll Assistant will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of our payroll system. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of employee payments and deductions, ensuring compliance with tax and labor laws, and providing exceptional service to our staff.

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate payroll records for all employees
  • Verify and input time and attendance data
  • Calculate and process employee salaries, bonuses, and deductions
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit payments
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with tax and labor laws
  • Assist with preparing and filing payroll tax reports
  • Partner with HR to update and maintain employee records related to payroll changes
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll or accounting role
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
